The simple stuff you need to know before your adventure
We respect your privacy and want you to feel confident sharing your details with us. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and how we keep it safe. Simple as that.
Who We Are
We're Bush Lion Trekking and Tours, based on Liwali Street in Moshi, Tanzania. We've been helping travellers experience the magic of Kilimanjaro and Tanzania since 2019.

Booking & Payment
When you book a trip with us, here's how payments work:
- Deposit: A 30% deposit secures your spot and gets the ball rolling on permits and logistics.
- Balance: The remaining balance is due 60 days before your trip starts.
- Pay in full: If you'd rather pay the whole amount upfront, that's absolutely fine too.
We accept bank transfers and mobile money. Payment details will be sent once you confirm your booking.
What's Included in Our Packages
Our trips are designed to be as hassle-free as possible. Most packages include:
- Park fees and permits
- An experienced, licensed guide
- Transport in our comfortable safari vehicles
- Meals as described in your itinerary
- Accommodation at carefully selected lodges and camps
- Bottled water throughout the trip
Each trip listing clearly states what's included, so you'll always know exactly what you're getting.
What's NOT Included
To keep things transparent, here's what isn't covered in our package prices:
- International flights
- Tanzania visa fees
- Travel insurance (this is really important — please get it!)
- Tips for guides, porters, and camp staff
- Personal expenses like souvenirs, extra snacks, or laundry
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all participants. Your safety matters to us.
Cancellation Policy

Changes to Your Booking
If you need to change dates, switch to a different route, or adjust your itinerary, just let us know. We'll do our best to accommodate your requests, though changes are subject to availability and may sometimes involve a small fee.
Your Responsibilities
To make sure your trip goes smoothly, we ask that you:
- Have a valid passport (at least 6 months validity from your travel date)
- Obtain the necessary visa for Tanzania
- Arrange travel insurance before departure — we strongly recommend this
- Follow your guide's instructions, especially on the mountain and during wildlife encounters
- Let us know about any medical conditions or dietary requirements in advance
Our Liability
Your safety is our top priority. We carry AMREF Flying Doctors evacuation cover for all our guests, so you're in safe hands in case of a medical emergency on the mountain or in the bush.
We'll always do our best to keep you safe and help you find solutions.
That said, we can't be held responsible for things outside our control — like extreme weather, natural disasters, political situations, or other force majeure events.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Any disputes will be handled in Tanzanian courts.
