Fitness Level
Moderate fitness required. The hike involves approximately 9 km of walking over 6–7 hours with an elevation gain of 900 metres.
Altitude
Mandara Hut sits at 2,700 metres. Altitude sickness is very unlikely at this elevation for most people.
Weather & Clothing
The rainforest zone is warm and humid (15–25°C). Wear layers — moisture-wicking base, fleece mid-layer, and waterproof jacket.
Payment & Deposits
A 30% deposit confirms your booking; the balance is due on the day of the hike. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure.
Tipping
Tipping is customary on Kilimanjaro. USD 15–20 per person for your main guide is recommended.
